For years the question of an expansion of the NBA, which is doing very well despite the pandemic, has been omnipresent, and for the moment Adam Silver calm things down, explaining that nothing is imminent. Despite that, it’s hard not to think about it, and two cities already seem to be the favorites if it’s a question of moving to 32 clubs: Las Vegas, which has recently hosted WNBA, NHL and NFL franchises, but also and above all Seattle, which has now an NFL franchise and a refurbished venue.
Since 2008 and the move to Oklahoma City, SuperSonics fans have been waiting for a return of an NBA franchise and Paolo Bancherothe Seattle native’s final first draft pick, thinks Seattle should have priority in the event of an expansion.
“I think it has to be done, it should be mandatory,” said Paolo Banchero during the All The Smoke Podcast. “Not just because I’m biased, but because it would be great for the NBA. It’s a great city. The fans are crazy. If there is a team in Seattle, they will automatically be on top, not the team, but the fanbase, it will be the crème de la crème. Tickets would sell out instantly.
A little patience, but it would be surprising if this did not happen in the coming years, the city of Seattle and several buyers being on the spot.
Note that this weekend Paolo Banchero will participate on the Seattle side in the famous Pro-Am league of Jamal CrawfordThe Crawsover.
