Les deux prospects français NBA Moussa Diabaté et Ousmane Dieng ont brillé ce samedi en Summer League, tout comme plusieurs de leurs compatriotes

Big night for French nuggets in the Summer League!

In the middle of the top-picks of the last Draft, the young French people are trying to find a place for themselves on the floors of the Summer League. This is what they have done in recent hours, with several French talents in sight on the side of Las Vegas!

Difficult to find a place in the news with Chet Holmgren, Paolo Banchero, Jabari Smith or Jaden Ivey on the ground. On the other hand, the French hopes of NBA had the mission to attract the attention of the scouts, this Saturday, during the Summer League of Las Vegas. A mission that they obviously took to heart, with several notable services offered on their part.

Successful start for Begarin and Diabaté, Dieng stands out

After Ismaël Kamagate, author the day before of rather convincing first steps under the colors of the Nuggets coming off the bench (6 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists), several Frenchies have been on duty in recent hours. Starting with Ousmane Dieng, who managed to continue after his remarkable debut a few days agobut also Juhann Begarin, Joel Ayayi and Moussa Diabaté, all three very solid!

First of all, the two French in the 2021 class spoke about their experience. Drafted by the Celtics a year ago, Begarin has shown that he has not been idle in recent months with Paris. Record: 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists in Boston’s loss to the Heat (78-88). For his part, Joel Ayayi was even more complete with the Hawks (4 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals), well supported by Alpha Kaba (8 points, 6 rebounds).

The newcomers to the league did not show the slightest inferiority complex. Member of the Clippers, Moussa Diabaté was particularly illustrated for his first with his franchise. Holder at the pivot position, he has indeed accumulated 10 points and 7 rebounds in 22 minutes of play. What contribute very nicely to the big victory of his team against the Grizzlies (94-76).

Finally, in the shadow of Holmgren, Ousmane Dieng confirmed the good signals he had been able to send during his debut with the Thunder. Despite some clumsiness in shooting, and especially from a distance (0/5), the 13th pick of the last Draft managed to compile 10 points and 6 rebounds in 23 minutes. Insufficient, however, to leave with a success against the Rockets (88-90).

With no less than 5 representatives on the Summer League courts this Saturday, France will have been honored, in particular thanks to Juhann Begarin and Moussa Diabaté. Let’s hope all this continues during their next appearances!
