As a reminder, Step App is a game that allows users to earn cryptocurrencies through their physical activity (running or walking). It follows in the footsteps of a plethora of move-to-earn moves that have made headlines in recent months, like its competitor Stepn.
Usain Bolt will become the main ambassador of Step App, according to the company’s statement. The goal is stated:
“Helping to onboard millions of users around the world, while attracting other premium brand partners and government organizations who share Step App’s vision.»

A “global movement” according to Usain Bolt
Usain Bolt, who was already interested in the technologies developed at the crossroads between finance and sport, confirms that he believes in the future of move-to-earn:
“Exercise has always been, and still is, a massive part of my life. When I learned what the Step App team was building, I wanted to be part of this global movement which I consider incredibly important. […] I would like to inspire as many people as possible.»
As a reminder, Step App is being launched, and the app is not yet available. The project had enjoyed some enthusiasm before the cryptocurrencies fell drastically. The project’s token, the FITFI, is thus trading at a price 82% lower than when it reached an all-time high three months ago.
The arrival of a star like Usain Bolt could therefore allow the project to regain some vigor, and attract potential future users.
