Invited on the set of C à vous, Laurent Ruquier returned to his departure from We are live. The host of France 2 thus gives the real reason for his choice.
The rumor had already been swirling for several months. But on Saturday June 4, Laurent Ruquier bade farewell to the viewers ofWe are live, a program he co-hosted with Léa Salamé. The journalist from France 2 had also thanked her sidekick: “Personally, I have always enjoyed working with you for seven years. In any case, on We are not lying and on We are live, I had a real pleasure, I will miss you. Touched by this pretty declaration of friendship, the companion of Hugo Manos had replied with humor: “I’ll watch you, I’ll be in my bed on Saturday evening, very quiet, I’ll recover my weekends.”
But for some, the departure of Laurent Ruquier is clearly linked to the presence of Lea Salame. Information that the principal concerned wanted to deny, when he came to It’s up to youWednesday, June 22: “It wasn’t linked to Léa Salamé. I even think it went better because it was with Léa, since he’s someone I knew well”he makes a point of specifying before explaining that between them, all is well: “It was better with her than with anyone else because we had a common complicity […] But the talk show exercise is an exercise that I consider difficult to do in pairs. […] you have to be able to master it on your own in terms of timing, especially live.”
Laurent Ruquier had made his decision a few months ago
Laurent Ruquier said he had trouble leaving We are liveeven though his decision was made in “last December”. “Animating for two is easy, but a talk show is more complicated. I wanted to see what it was going to be like. It’s true that it’s not easy. It’s quite frustrating for Léa Salamé as for me. I tried but despite my natural understanding with Léa Salamé, I consider the exercise too frustrating”he had already explained to Telerama.
