Netflix: a large number of projects unveiled for Geeked Week
The kick-off was given today at 6 p.m., and there are beautiful people who have been invited to the party. In the boxes of Netflix, there are a whole bunch of projects just waiting to be unveiled in broad daylight, while others offer themselves a nice showcase before their next release. Of course, the American SVOD giant was not going to draw its most flamboyant revelations from the first hour, but it nevertheless had the merit of launching hostilities with a series on which many eyes converge, namely the One Piece series in live action.
On the sidelines of this landmark week, the personalities that we find in front of and behind the camera spoke to, in a way, defend their project and harangue the fans in order to increase the pressure around the series. Iñaki Godoy, who lends his features to the character of Luffy, had therefore held, just like the directorto be addressed a few words to the enthusiasts from the work of Eiichiro Oda. On the occasion of Geeked Week, communication resumes and if there is still a lot of chatter, we discover a little more about the sets of the series as well as important elements of the manga!
The Live-Action series reveals more about its sets
Once again, we find the one who lends his face to the captain of the Mugiwara, even if he is, for once, accompanied by the two showrunners of the series, Steve Maeda and Matt Owens. As gifts for this video, the trio takes us to discover some of the sets of the series which were at the heart of the filming phases carried out in South Africa. A large series of concept arts is unveiled there, and one can, among other things, admire the sketches of Vogue Merry (whose construction we see furtively at the end of the video) before embarking on a timelapse of the construction of the sets.
Besides the iconic first boat of the Straw Hats crew members, there is another ship that has the right to a nice spotlight, it is the Baratie. Since the Live-Action series has planned to adapt the first arcs of the manga, the boat where Luffy meets Chief Zeff and his right-hand man, Sanji, therefore has a prominent place there. ! Much more than the quote of the first members of Luffy’s crew, the name of a famous antagonist is also pronounced there since the arc where Arlong appears currently occupies the teams who make the sets. Either way, they’re dying to show us more, just as we can’t wait to see the end result!
