Surprise ! Kate and William joined by Charlotte and Georges for an express visit to Wales

In full celebration of the jubilee of Elizabeth II, Kate and William have paid for a very short “royal” getaway. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have taken their children, Charlotte and George, to Wales.

On the third day of the festivities celebrating the seventieth year of reign of Elizabeth II, Kate Middleton and Prince William flew to Wales. Destination Cardiff Castle to attend the celebrations organized on the occasion of one of the most anticipated political and media events of the year. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were accompanied by Prince George and Princess Charlotte for this express visit. This journey also has historical significance. The great-grandson of Elizabeth II, 8, follows in the footsteps of his father who first visited Wales at the same age with his parents, Charles and Diana, in 1991.

Much more than a historic celebration, the jubilee is also an opportunity to ” show the succession and the monarchy as a whole “, according to a source close to the royal family interviewed by the magazine People. During their express stay in Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were also able to attend a concert with their dear children. The opportunity for them to meet the famous Bonnie Tyler, who was also named a member of the Order of the British Empire by Elizabeth II, or even to sing the hit Delilah of Tom Jones on the stage.

Kate and William, happy parents of a family of music lovers

If the royal family took so much pleasure in attending a concert away from Buckingham Palace, it is mainly because they have a musical ear. We were able to see the Cambridges take the stage not only to sing, but also to observe a drum solo as close as possible to the drums and cymbals. A waking dream for George who is currently learning to play the guitar. The family then strolled through the castle gardens to catch more musical performances and shake a few hands. This day placed under the sign of the treble clef should end with another concert in Buckingham that Queen Elizabeth II will watch live on television.
