N3: the reserve creates the surprise and goes up to N2!

Huge sensation this Saturday: the Stade Rennes reserve team moved up to N2 after their victory against Guipry-Messac after a spectacular match (7-4).

Cries of joy, then other cries of joy, again. This early Saturday evening, the Stade Rennes reserve came back from afar. Led 0-3 in 18 minutes of play on the ground of Guipry-Messac, already condemned to the descent, the team of Pierre-Emmanuel Bourdeau did not lead wide. A timid reduction in the Nugent score (22e) and the SRFC returned to the locker room led 3-1, in a meeting that could offer them the rise to N2, far away at the break.

7 goals in 55 minutes

The stars were aligned. At half-time around 6:45 p.m., TA Rennes led 1-0 against Milizac, leader of the championship. In the event of a victory for Stade Rennes and a defeat for Milizac, the SRFC moved up to N2, on goal average, having beaten the leader twice this season (2-0, 2-1). The Red and Blacks therefore endeavored to do the job, led by Maboulou, double scorer as soon as they returned from the locker room (48e51e). 3-3 and soon 4-3, on a penalty signed Kylian Gasnier, for his last match in the Stade Rennes jersey. The number 11, copiously applauded when he left the field later (80eLimon), has largely participated in the festival following its realization.

Maboulou handed one to afford a hat-trick (68e), while Samake converted another penalty (74e), and that Françoise (76e) even scored a 7e goal in just 50 minutes for the SRFC! Guipry may have reduced the mark at the end of the game (82e), Stade Rennes completed an incredible victory, celebrated as it should be in the central circle. This joy was followed a few seconds later by euphoria when learning of the victory of TA Rennes against Milizac (3-1) formalizing the title of N3 champion for Bourdeau’s men, and their rise to N2!

At the end of an afternoon for which we were expecting a storm, the sun came to bathe the end of the Rouge et Noir season. “That’s football” summarized Pierre-Emmanuel Bourdeau well, the same broad smile on his lips as Bernard Lebreton, who has not finished being surprised by this SRFC!

The reaction of Pierre-Emmanuel Bourdeau:
