Omar Sy makes the show in Cannes: he steals a camera and improvises paparazzi on the Croisette

Thursday May 19, 2022, Omar Sy stood out on the Croisette during the 75th Cannes Film Festival. He borrowed the camera of a photographer present for the event and had fun taking pictures.

Tuesday, March 17 marked the start of the 75th Cannes Film Festival and the arrival of many celebrities from around the world. The day after the opening of the event, Omar Sy and the film crew “Skirmishers” walked the red carpet to present the film directed by Mathieu Vadepied, during the opening of the section “In some perspective“.

The French actor then expressed his joy at being invited to the festival. “I was very happy to come back to Cannes, it’s been a while since I came” he said before continuing: “It was a good time, it was a party, we are so happy to present this film“. The film in question tells the story of a Senegalese father (Omar Sy) and son (Alassane Diong), thrown into the hell of the trenches during the First World War.

Omar Sy steals a camera on the Croisette

Thursday May 19, Omar Sy who wanted to steal the show to Tom Cruise after the opening of the Cannes Film Festival went again to the Croisette for the photocall of the Franco-Senegalese feature film. Very relaxed, the 44-year-old man who was accompanied by the film crew was dressed in a summer outfit with a floral patterned shirt. Particularly teasing, he decided to annoy a professional photographer by borrowing his huge camera.

Under the amused gaze of other photographers, the Lupine actor played with the device and tried to take snaps. Very focused, he seemed to appreciate discovering the work tool of those who usually take his picture. A great moment that helped put all the professionals in a good mood.
