EXCLUDED. Isabelle Morini-Bosc: her rare secrets about her little brother, seriously burned

In the latest issue of Closer, available on newsstands this Friday, May 20, journalist Isabelle Morini-Bosc talks about her little brother, badly burned during a plane crash in 1991…

It’s time for confidence, for Isabelle Morini-Bosc. In the latest issue of Closer, available on newsstands this Friday, May 20, the 65-year-old journalist opens a window on her past, from her childhood marked by trauma to one of the greatest dramas of her life: the accident of plane of his younger brother. “I have a frenzied passion for my little brother, who was born thirteen years after me, confides the columnist of Do not touch My TV !revealing for the first time the circumstances of the accident that turned his life upside down and that of his little brother: He was a pupil of Saint-Cyr, and he had been advised to take aviation lessons in a private flying club. In 1991, he accompanies an old German instructor and the plane crashes. There’s nothing left except my brother, who has suffered severe burns. After several months in a coma, he underwent skin grafts. It’s a miracle.”

Very discreet about her private life and especially about this brother to whom she is so close, Isabelle Morini-Bosc had never spoken before about the circumstances of this accident. In January 2021, during an interview with Evelyne Thomas for the Non Stop People channel, she simply said: “I have a badly burned brother, I never talk about it but if something happens to my brother one day, I can die on the spot.”

“My life has been punctuated with aggression”

A modesty that we find when Isabelle Morini-Bosc evokes her own past. Victim of serious abuse from childhood, the journalist still refuses today to talk too much about them. “My life has been punctuated by attacks. At the age of 8 and for several years, I suffered touching from a member of my family’s entourage. I survived and I do not feel this visceral need to talk about it more. I have been criticized by other women victims, but I assume. We are not all equal in the face of our own misfortunes.”
