Cannes Film Festival 2022: climbing the family steps for Michel Hazanavicius and Bérénice Bejo -

Present on the Croisette on Tuesday May 17, 2022 for the screening of his film Coupez! for the opening of the 75th Cannes Film Festival, director Michel Hazanavicius was accompanied by his family as he walked the red carpet.

Director of the cult film The Artist, which notably won the César and the Oscar for best filmMichel Hazanavicius saw his new feature film chosen for a screening at the opening of the Cannes Film Festival 2022. Entitled Cut!, this comedy once again features the actress Berenice Bejo, who is the director’s companion. The latter gives the reply to Romain Duris, but also to the daughter of Michel Hazanavicius, Simone, as well as to his niece, Raïka. As a reminder, Simone Hazanavicius was born from the director’s previous union with Virginie Lovisone, while Raïka Hazanavicius is the daughter of the filmmaker’s older brother, Serge Hazanavicius. This whole little family gathered on the Croisette on Tuesday May 17, 2022, for the opening ceremony of the 75th Cannes Film Festival.

In effect, Michel Hazanavicius was surrounded by part of his family to climb the emblematic steps of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. The director could thus count on the presence of his partner Bérénice Béjo, with whom he had two children in 2008 and 2011, but also on that of his daughter and his niece to support him before the screening of his film. Much of the cast of Cut! also accompanied the filmmaker. After an opening ceremony presented live by actress Virginie Efira on France 2, during which the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky intervened in duplexspectators present at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes had the opportunity to preview the new film by Michel Hazanavicius.
